The WHO Global Initiative for Childhood Cancer aims to achieve at least 60% survival for childhood cancer globally and reduce suffering for all by 2030. The Cure All framework outlines programmes and priority actions for this to happen. “Invest in cancer research infrastructure and participate in collaborative research networks” is one such priority action. It recognizes that progress in survival made in well-resourced settings is based on research-driven childhood cancer protocols including cooperative group trials. Hence, reducing global inequity in outcomes would require similar efforts in less well-resourced settings.
We aspire to pave the way for more collaborative trials across a spectrum of childhood cancers. Together, we can foster global equity in childhood cancer outcomes and ensure a brighter future for young patients worldwide. Join our virtual session on 14th November 2023 from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm GMT.
